12/24/2025 Happy Christmas Eve Day! I have a goal to get back to my old YouTube consistency for 2026, and yay! I'm starting now. Come join me in a premier video this morning scheduled for 9:00 a.m. Pacific time! If you miss it, the link should still work. The theme of this video is hot flashes. I know it's not Christmasy, but it's practical. Even if you don't suffer from them, it's still a good watch and an example of how God's medicinal herbs can often be much better than medications. That's the topic! Mr. V. came across an ad for a very expensive medication that people can take for hot flashes. Now, hot flashes can be VERY uncomfortable, and I'm sure there might be some people who could afford the $600+ a month (but not me) for the medication (and deal with ALL the side effects), but..... Why? Why, when our Good Lord has given us some very perfect medicinal plants to help us deal with discomforts like hot flashes. And amazingly well for most. Join me this morning as I share a bit about this new Big Pharma medication and even better--- several herbs that can not only solve a hot flash problem but also serve to support hormone health and balance for women (and some men--cause they get hot flashes too, sometimes) of all ages.
If you can't make it to the live premier, here's the link so you can watch it any time you like. ****************************** Encouragement and Inspiration for Christmas Christmas has a way of reminding us what really matters.... There’s a great story attributed to Norman Vincent Peale that has stayed with me for years. A missionary teacher once explained to a young African boy why Christians give gifts at Christmas. She told him that presents are an expression of joy over the birth of Jesus, and a way to show love for one another. On Christmas morning, the boy brought her a single seashell—beautiful, luminous, unlike anything she had seen before. When she asked where he found it, he explained that such shells only came from one bay… miles away. She gently told him that he shouldn’t have gone so far just to bring her a gift. The boy smiled and replied, “The long walk is part of the gift.” That one sentence says more about Christmas than most of what fills our calendars this time of year. Because real giving almost always costs something. Not just money—but time. Effort. Attention. The willingness to move toward someone else when it would be easier to stay comfortable. Sometimes the “long walk” looks like showing up when you’re tired. Offering kindness when you’re stretched thin. Choosing patience instead of frustration. Being generous instead of inconvenienced. At Christmas, we celebrate the greatest gift ever given—Jesus Himself. And that gift came with a long walk, too. Heaven to earth. Light into darkness. Love entering a broken world, not because it was easy, but because it was necessary. What a great gift for those of us who believe. How grateful I feel! That’s the heart of Christmas. It’s not found in perfectly wrapped packages or full inboxes or doing “all the things.” It’s found in quiet faithfulness. In small acts done with great love for those we care for. In choosing to give—not because it’s efficient or impressive, but because it reflects the heart of Christ. As you move through this season, I hope you give yourself permission to slow down. To notice the long walks you’re already taking. To remember that the effort, the intention, the showing up—that’s part of the gift. "But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters." --Galatians 4:4-5 May your Christmas be filled with meaning, peace, and the deep joy that comes from loving well. And of course.....herbs and oils.🌿 Merry Christmas, P.S. I hope to see you there at the premier! Have a beautiful and blessed, peaceful Christmas Day--- |

12/31/2025 Happy New Year's Eve! Are you excited? I haven't decided how I feel about this new year, yet....but it behooves all of us to be hopeful, right? And grateful..... We're in the dead of winter, and although this is the warmest winter I remember since we moved off grid to the mountains of S. Nevada and here to Idaho combined (about 15 years), we're still enjoying green pastures up here! To be honest..... It's a concern. Without the snowpack, summers can be harder than usual. In fact,...
12/21/2025 Happy Sunday! And Happy Winter Solstice today, too!☃️ Besides the Summer Solstice, this is one of my favorite days of the year, mainly because of the physical and emotional relief some of us enjoy as the world turns, bringing balance once again! Today marks the the longest night of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, a great turning of the earth back toward the sun. From here on out, the days slowly begin to lengthen again. You might not notice it right away, but the shift has...
12/7/2025 Happy Herbal Sunday! As I write this to you, I'm about 35,000 feet in the air, traveling to a business conference after being so blessed to have visited a couple of days with our newest grandson, Liam. He is 10 months old! (And yes! My heart felt like it grew three sizes!) It was SUCH a great visit. We're trying to figure out how we can do this at least twice a year. It's a long flight, as they're back east, and we're way out west, but it is so very important. Little Liam met his...
