Summertime is tea time!🌿🌼🌿Weekly Wednesday's Herbal

July 15, 2026

I just got the best couple of notes from a student and a reader, and both today! Here they are, as I hope they help you, too. I'm keeping these anonymous out of decency. I really love when I get these kinds of notes...they keep me going, doing what I do....

The first note.....

"Thanks be to God, my teeth are growing back!!! I had one especially terrible cavity where the nerve was exposed and the entire top had rotted away and now the root is covered and continues to heal. I believe part of that is because of the healthy bones tea. After being prayed for at church the pain I was having went away and the Holy Spirit reminded me of the tea I had mixed up and neglected to take regularly. Within several weeks I noticed the tooth had begun to heal!!!"

🌼 This student is referring to my Healthy Bones tea formulation that can be found inside my Big Book of Herbal Teas that's one of the textbooks in my course, "The Art of Herbal Tea for Pleasure and Health."

I haven't marketed this course in two whole years!

And it's a REALLY great course. In fact, right now and for the past couple years, the ONLY way to get this course is to be a member of the CHT (Confident Herbalist Tribe).

So, I decided to put it on sale for you outside the Tribe at 50% off, and seriously, that's an incredible price for all you get inside and mostly the transformation of becoming an herbal tea expert!

It includes videos, instruction, and of course some bonuses and my 220 page text, The Big Book of Herbal Tea!

Use code: TEA50 at checkout to enjoy it for a huge 50% off for the next few days!

Summertime is the perfect time for herbal teas!

Here's the second note I got today:

This note is exactly why I started my KYLLA Substack site that's now where my posts on encouragement and inspiration live. It's a site that I hope will bless many people like this sweet reader.

The focus of KYLLA is on emotional and mental wellness, stress reduction, mindset and improving your life, and of course, I'll share about herbs and essential oils that support these things occasionally too.

It's been fun getting this site started, even though I don't know what I'm doing (yet). I'm figuring it out as I go, like I do most things, LOL.

Notes like the following are helping guide me to what it will continue to do...which is to help as many as possible who are struggling in these crazy times.

"Heidi, you are a very gifted writer--no doubt aided by your years of journaling. I so needed to read what you wrote. And I will need to re-read it again. I am overwhelmed with the current circumstances of my life, sleep very little because I can't shut my brain off, and struggle to do what I already know I should be doing, and of course, beat myself up about on a daily basis. Your post was an answer to my prayers seeking help on climbing out of the hole I have allowed myself to slip into. You are an angel. I am at the beginning of this journey; I am grateful for the road map. Thank you so very much for this post and your new KYLLA site. I know it will bless many people."

KYLLA stands for: Keep Your Lamp Lit...Always and is based on the parable of the 10 virgins in Matthew 25:1-13.

This special place has been on my heart forever to create...like many years now. I've earned two different Christian life coaching certifications...first to help myself (I've had a bit of trauma in my life), and then it became something on my heart to do to help others, too.

That's all I'll say here, but if you love my Encouragement and Inspiration section in the newsletter....these are now over on KYLLA. And it's free to join.

Essential Oils and the Skin

Are you interested in using essential oils in your homemade skincare?

Here's an article I wrote a few years ago about eight of my favorite essential oils that support the health (and anti-aging to an extent) of the skin. These are all essential oils I've worked with extensively, and I hope you get some ideas!

There's also a skincare serum formulation included too!

8 Best Essential Oils for Wrinkles and Scars PLUS a Night Time Serum Formulation

I'm now heading back out into the heat! I'm so excited because now that our herbal apothecary and business is back on the same property as our gardens, herb farm (getting started), and homestead, I finally have a functional garden that's working.

I've planted around 100 perennial medicinal and culinary herbs this spring, and wow....they're so amazing!

I'm ready to harvest my wild lettuce and yarrow to make tinctures, and I've got a huge pile of red clover drying on the table. And...for the first time! My pumpkins are growing! I am beyond thrilled. I've struggled with pumpkins forever and have only ever gotten a few. This year will be different, and I can hardly wait for fall because I love my pumpkin things!

Hugs, Health, and Herbs,

Heidi

P.S. Ready to take herbal teas seriously? They're amazing for your health...and also pleasure. Click the button below and use the code TEA50 for a fabulous price on that course!

July 26, 2026 Happy Sunday, Reader 🥰 First, thank YOU so much. I love you. I appreciate you. More than you know. The other day, I wrote a note about how I have not been doing well with all the things online, being very real, and I'm struggling... I asked, "If you and I were sitting in my apothecary, what question would you have for me?" Oh, my goodness! Literally hundreds of notes and questions poured in, along with so much encouragement. Thank you! I promised I would be answering these in my...

July 22, 2026 Happy Herbal Wednesday (er...Thursday), Reader! Sorry my weekly note's a day late. It's unbelievably busy in the garden right now! I'm swimming in medicinal herbs that need harvesting (calendula, echinacea, hyssop, bee balm, marshmallow, coriander/cilantro, dill, and SO much more)---like the usual veggies---I almost forgot about them in my excitement over my medicinal herbs, LOL. But what to do with all these things? My favorite solution is to ferment them...especially in summer...

July 19, 2026 Happy Sunday! I want to tell you a story. Anna is "everywoman," and I say that because I was once her long, long ago, and I've taught thousands of women who were like her, too. It's a story of frustration...and the best solution. Anna had enough herbs in her cupboard to make a small apothecary. Unfortunately, she had no idea what to do with most of them. There was nettle she’d bought after reading about how much calcium it has, lemon balm she’d grown and dried herself, a bag of...
