Scentsational Sunday!

Happy Scentsational Sunday, Reader!

We're in the thick of it! That would be the "Big Move."

My oldest son and our brother-in-law came up to help us for the past three days, and we're only about halfway done. It's up to us now, Joe and me.

If you've ever moved a home or a business (or both in our case), then you know that you quickly discover all the "stuff" that you've accumulated....and that you probably don't need.

I found that I have over 500 Mason jars! And that's not counting the ones holding our food and medicinal (tinctures and dried herbs) items. I think that would be considered an addiction. 😂

We've managed to wrangle two of our three cats and most of our chickens over to the new place. We still have to pick up Big Sir, our male turkey and Little Mama, plus our tiny Baby. We also have some additional smaller baby chicks that aren't quite poults yet to move over, too. And then...the apothecary!

Because of this move, I've been a bit "out of commission" when it comes to our online work, but please be patient---we're back soon!

In the meantime, you may be considering what five best herbs you could get planted right now? These would be multi-purpose (culinary and medicinal) herbs that would serve you and your family well. Enjoy this article on which ones are the BEST, easiest to grow, and you can find them in nurseries everywhere.

If you happen to be in the Southern Hemisphere and are heading into winter, many of these can even be grown indoors!

Five BEST Multi-Purpose Herbs to Plant

In the video below (it's an older one, but still very relevant as we head into bathing suit season), I share several different categories of essential oils that help support healthy weight loss.

Mood and emotion play a huge part in our ability to maintain willpower. Also, certain essential oils help with digestion, blood sugar balance, and other helpful actions on the body to support weight management.

I happen to be on a diet to help me reduce inflammation levels in my body right now, and I rely heavily on my essential oils! Enjoy, and be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel!

Each of these is 50% off through Memorial Day, for significant savings on three really terrific courses!

Use code: MEMDAY

1) The 21-Day Joy Course (Normally $197, now $98.50)

*I created this course after being asked SO often about stress-relief. I did quite a bit of scientific research for this course that includes fast actions you can take daily that can cumulatively help you improve your mindset and reduce stress...and make you feel happier. Of course, there are special easy and fun projects for herbs and oils too. It contains videos and two complete texts.

2) Natural Soap Making (Was $127, now $63.50)

*Personally, I think everyone should have access to clean cosmetic, cleaning, and beauty products. Soap making is a great skill to know. Plus, it's creative and fun! Several of my students have started their own soap and skincare businesses from this course, too.

This sale has been hugely popular, so if you've been wanting to start making your very own, natural, herbal soaps...it's a great time!

3) The Art and Science of Herbal Tea (Was $127, now $63.50)

*Herbal tea seems so easy, but did you know there are many nuances in choosing proper herbs for blending for flavor and health needs? Find out about:

  • Flavoring your natural herbal tea blends
  • Making formulations and special blends you and your family will love
  • The different flavors and how these indicate actions on the body
  • And MORE!

This course comes with my Big Book of Herbal Tea, too. This course is the only way to get it, and it includes 130+ of my herbal tea formulations for your health and pleasure desires, plus tons of helpful information on herbal tea making.

The sale is over midnight Pacific time tomorrow.

Have a fun and joyful rest of this three-day weekend! With three sons either in the military or having served in the past, plus a dad who served as well, the service of all our brave men and women is valued and appreciated.

Now...it's time to get back to the Big Move!

Hugs, Health, and Herbs,

Heidi

June 18, 2025 Happy Herbal Wednesday, Reader! I need to share something with you that sometimes still keeps me up at night, even though it happened over two whole decades ago. I had just turned 40, and my youngest son was 15 at the time. I was aware of herbalism but had only just begun dabbling in herbal supplements. I had no idea about the power of herbal medicine back then or about using real plants for wellness and feeling better. And like most moms, I thought I was doing everything right!...

June 11, 2025 Happy Herbal Wednesday, Reader! Do you remember the first essential oil you ever experienced in a diffuser? For me, it was a blend wafting through a friend's home as I walked in the door. Oh. My. Goodness. Just WOW. I still remember how instantly calm and mesmerized I felt walking into the room. When I noticed the gentle mist from this little contraption in the corner, I realized THAT little machine was where the scent was coming from. I was hooked! I wanted THAT in my home!...

June 5, 2025 Happy Day, Reader I apologize that our weekly note is a day late, and this is because I'm treading water with all the things that have to be done in this move of our home and apothecary/clinic to one single place an hour away. I had no idea the move would be this big. I'm staying positive with the thought that it's a good thing to get to reorganize, declutter, and get a fresh start. Before we dive into today’s herbal topic on a popular question I get asked about ALL the time (How...
