August 27, 2025 Happy Herbal Wednesday, Reader! I hope the air is clean where you're at, I really do. I say this because we've been in the middle of several burning fires in the area bringing tons of smoke to our place, and one of them is BAD. The air quality has been pretty painful for a few days, so I've turned to an herbal tea blend I created specifically for smoky or polluted air a few years ago. Here's an herbal tea blend that can help you to breathe! If you live in a polluted city, this may be a wonderfully helpful tea. If you find the taste unpleasant, just add some honey, or some delicious spice herbs, and sip it through the day. ************************ As you read this note today, I'll be arriving in Boise! The reason I'm here is because grandma has to help with the grand-babies, and I couldn't be more pleased about being asked. Wow! It feels great to be needed. I had kind of forgotten this feeling. My kids don't ask me for much, and I know this is a real blessing. But still...I love when they do ask for a hand. I've got to get both littles back and forth to their school for several days, and hopefully go have some fun times with them too. They've got a pretty busy schedule, but I'll get to see my grand-daughter at her gymnastics and tap lessons and my little grandson on the swingset! I'm taking tons of pictures. I've made them a couple of roller bottles for children. If your kids are back in school, these are some wonderful helpers: This roller blend helps with calming stress and supporting focus and memory for kids. It includes dilution ratios for different ages so you can stay safe. **Grown-ups can use it too! ******* Next up is Cough, Calm, and Sleep for Youngsters This is a video, and one of my more recents....(And yes, grown-ups can use this one as well!) ******* Finally....don't we all need some immune system protection this time of year? I know we do here at our place! Here are: Nine Ways to Power Up Your Child's Immune System Fast ************************************** Have You Ever Felt This Way? 🌿 You've got herbal books.... 🌼 You've taken classes.... 🌿 You've downloaded all the PDF's.... 🌼 You might even be growing some of your own medicinal herbs.... 🌿 You're making some herbal medicines that actually work, and sometimes your friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers are begging for more..... It's all SO AMAZING...but if you're really honest? You might still be wondering: 🌱 Do I truly know what on earth I'm doing? 🌱 Why (and how) do these herbs work in the body and on the mind? 🌱 Could I accidentally poison someone, even now? 🌱 Am I suggesting the right plant(s) for the people? Oh, Reader, I know these feelings and thoughts because I used to feel and think them too in my herbal beginnings and even after some years of experience. To be honest, it's one thing to follow someone else's formulation and make the medicine, crossing your fingers that it will just work. But it's entirely different to feel confident creating your own formulations and using herbs and essential oils to help others actually heal....from the root cause. This is one of the many reasons I created the Confident Herbalist Tribe--- and also:
The Confident Herbalist Tribe is closing for enrollment on Monday, September 1st. Don't wait! If you're like me, you may plan to enroll when it's a better time, but I know that I sometimes forget. Best time to do something is while it's on your mind! Click the button below, and go check it out:
**************************** One of My Favorite Plants for Sleep and Soothing Not getting enough sleep is a real problem for many of us, me included. I have a whole sleep routine that I follow on the daily, and one of the herbs I just LOVE is passion flower. Passiflora incarnata is a great friend for when you are dealing with: 🌸 Irritability (PMS, anyone?) 🌿 Menopause mood swings 🌸 That monkey mind in the middle of the night...you know...the thoughts that keep circling around, keeping you awake? 🌿 AND, for when you need a little help and don't want to wake up feeling groggy and out of it the next day.... You can take a little during the day for gentle calm... Take a bit more right before bed, and combine with some chamomile, lavender, and perhaps a little skullcap for some extra oomph.... Passion flower can help you calm the mind, sleep more soundly, and during the day can be a helper by taking just a bit to soothe your nerves. We have an entire masterclass on Passion Flower inside the Confident Herbalist Tribe, too! You'll learn SO much about this amazing plant should you choose to join us inside! ***************************** This is a pretty short note for this week's Wednesday Herbal, and I'll have more for you soon! As always, explore the website and YouTube channel for tons more great herbal and aromatic ideas.... And please share with a friend! Hugs, Health, and Herbs, Heidi P.S. Happy Herbal Wednesday, Reader! EEK! I'm a day late again, on my newsletter. Please give me grace. I'm working under several large deadlines with mini-deadlines on progress. One of these is a secret I'll let you in on soon! Stay tuned! Don't you just love the changing of the seasons? It doesn't even matter which one. But the move from summer heat into the cool, crisp air of the fall is hands down my favorite, followed closely by spring. Most of my body and mind just loves the changes, but my...
September 4, 2025 Happy Thursday, Reader! Oh, goodness! I know it's Thursday, and I'm a day late with this week's note. I'm not late very often, and I hope you'll forgive me. We welcomed many new members into the Tribe in the past few days, and...
August 25, 2025 Happy Monday, Reader! This is a quick Monday note because I came across something yesterday I just had to share with you.... 🔥 Pastor Savchuk said in one of his talks:“As Christians, we love divine healing but hate divine health.” Ouch. Convicting, right? Here’s the truth… We can pray “Lord, heal my body!” while eating junk food 👀—but can we really expect results if we don’t take honest action? Think about it— ✨ If we’re called to take our thoughts captive, but feed our minds...
